Ko wai māua - About us

We’ve owned businesses, and worked across private sector, NGO, local and central government, in elected, appointed, recruited and contracted roles.
In this time, we’ve supported policy development, regulation, governance, strategy, operations, project and change management, engineering, service and product delivery, commercial, sales, research and a broad range of other areas and skill-sets.
Many of these roles have been in, for or supporting small businesses. These businesses and their owners are our passion, and your success matters to us. We have extensive experience in helping organisations and businesses understand where they’re trying to get to, and put the strategies, plans, processes and people in place to deliver them.
We’ve raised four sons, and had a lifetime of adventures, sailing, camping and in the bush, around Aotearoa and the world.
Along with the good weather, we’ve weathered enough of the storms, made enough miss-steps and picked up enough scars, to be able to help you identify, manage and avoid these on your business or organisational journey!
If you have a business mission in mind, we can help you get there. We will be a trusted partner for your purpose-driven business, transforming vision into sustainable impact.

I help business owners to plan and deliver the bottom line and more — people, purpose, and place. I’ve spent the last decade working alongside business owners, local leaders, and government to build strategies and plans to do just that.
From managing my own businesses and others, leading small business management capability services nationally to supporting community locally, my work focuses on helping turn mission into action - and impact. I bring both high-level strategy and practical planning for implementation to help businesses with purpose build impact and sustainability.

I help project and programme leads evaluate and articulate their impact—beyond just numbers. It’s easy to count people reached or money spent, but what difference have you made? That’s where I come in. I’ve worked across not-for-profits and government, often in “hard to measure” areas, helping teams use data and narratives to demonstrate real change.
My experience is in linking impact to strategy and delivery, not just reporting at the end. I guide teams to understand what to measure, how to collect it, and how to turn that into meaningful stories for funders and stakeholders—so they can look back, learn, and move forward with clarity.
